We at ZXV are working for a week to improve OSM. So far today we have Xin getting up to speed with OSM, Nick looking at name finder and I (SteveC) have added the friend map to the default user page and closed bug 578. We’ll be keeping our blog up to date.
Tom has a nice post about not making your map animations look like a 1942 bombing raid, viz the below image of ’91 forest fires in Oakland which also show up in work that he/Stamen did.
Oh and Ben at lunch mentioned paleo-future which is well worth a look.
David Earl (who mapped much of Cambridge) writes to the talk list to say “OSMers may be interested to know that this map […] is currently being distributed to every home in Cambridge and most Cambridge University students via the colleges.”

Google now let you fix their bad geocoding for free. It probably breaks their own license terms, but hey, let’s help them get back above $700/share. 🙂
