Nike sadly aren’t attributing OpenStreetMap when using our data. There must be a Ordnance Survey / sweat shop / Just Do It joke in here, but I’m not seeing it.
Things are in the works to bring Nike back in to the legal map data licensing fold.
I’m not sure naming and shaming is the best way to go since other companies that might have used OSM might decide against it with this sort of treatment.Wouldn’t it be better to try and do something about this behind the scenes?
<a href="http://blog.oobrien.com/2010/04/nike-grid/">Ollie</a> was showing me a printed leaflet version of this. They look pretty nice. A different map for each postcode prefix.
They’re on posters too. OpenStreetMap all over London!<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/harrywood/4542121070/"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2790/4542121070_4af327f37d_m.jpg"></a>(mapping party last night)
Is there any progress with getting in touch with Nike? There’s a very small vague chance I might know someone but don’t want to step on toes if it’s already being sorted.
